We designed the LGP from scratch. We didn't start with an off-the-shelf shotgun shell. We developed a proprietary composite shell, molded to an integral brass base, specifically for disrupters. We ended up with a unique line of ammunition which can be used with or without the laser unit...depending upon your specific requirements. We also developed a cost saving, inert cartridge which operates the laser for training without having to expend a live round. The training round can also be used as an extremely accurate boresighter for aligning external sights.
